Fascinating story. As if we didn’t have enough to worry about with Mother Nature here on Earth.

Though I took a three-week hiatus, I continue to work hard to provide some useful financial advice over at my weekly Toonie Newsletter. Naturally, I highly recommend you read last week’s newsletter before this week drops into inboxes this coming Friday morning. Last week, I discussed how a budget and a personal net worth statement work a lot better when used in tandem. And this week, I am writing about what to include and not to include in that personal net worth statement.
This quick post from Greg Morris struck a chord with me. I find the entire discourse State-side to be so off-putting — not specifically when it comes from Americans, but rather when it comes from non-Americans looking down their noses. We all have our own problems in our own countries. Let’s take the log out of our own eyes before we attempt to lecture anyone else on the log in theirs.
If you followed Dave Portnoy at all in the past, this story about investors putting their money into the wrong stock won’t be all that surprising. Nonetheless, Musk’s recommendation is a good one — a friend of mine recommended Signal and it seems pretty good to my eye.
Almost all my RSS reading has been done on the iPad for the last year. But this little M1 MacBook Air is too much fun — I don’t want to put it down for anything right now. Reeder 5 is extraordinarily well done on the Mac. I prefer Unread 2 on the iPad for reading, but on the Mac, Reeder 5 is impressive.
This one may be behind a paywall on the Wall Street Journal, so I’m including the Apple News link with hopes you can read it. Long story short, an aging population, a booming technological revolution, and the ever-threatening machination and automation of specific jobs makes for an interesting 2030 prediction.
An abnormal amount of time was put into the research for this video and it shows. I’m not sure I agree with the choices at the end, but there’s a process to the madness nonetheless.
Tonight may be a night of linking to only my friends’s work, but so be it. The best part of Marius’s review is that he is an audiophile. He actually knows what to listen for, what the technical details are, and what the physical limitations may be.
I run the risk of linking to everything Mr. Dreger writes. This is one of my favourite reviews of the iPad Magic Keyboard across the web.
I almost couldn’t believe my eyes. Our oldest absolutely loves CoComelon — the songs are catchy, the lessons are good, and the show is produced extremely well. Of course, you always want to limit your little one’s screen time, but CoComelon has made screen time a little easier to stomach over the last year.
