We’re back from our jaunt in Europe and, seemingly on cue, a major new camera has been announced.

Fuji’s new flagship X-T2 brings a new, higher resolution sensor to the line while also implementing some other professional-level features like dual SD card slots, an AF-point selection joystick, 4K video, and numerous performance improvements. Best of all, the X-T2’s optional battery grip does more than just boost battery life and improve ergonomics — it can increase the camera body’s performance when shooting bursts and it improves the frame rate of the now-even-better EVF.

All this said, had the X-T2 (or even the X-Pro 2 for that matter) been around in early January when I made a system switch, I don’t think I’d be shooting Sony today.
