I purchased the OM-D E-M5 Mark II way back in July 2015. I took my sweet time getting my thoughts down on Olympus’ mid-range OM-D camera. I knew I loved the camera right from the beginning, I just wasn’t sure how big of an upgrade it was over the E-M10 and E-M10 Mark II.
Alas, my review of the E-M5 Mark II was published today on Tools & Toys. There’s more personal thought here than specifications, so don’t rely on only my review for making a purchase. As some recent experience has proven, you still need to understand some specifications before jumping into a camera system.
I can’t wait for the E-M1 Mark II to be announced. I largely expect every complaint I have with the E-M5 Mark II will be addressed with that announcement. Until then, the E-M5 Mark II is the best OM-D you can buy, and arguably the best Micro Four Thirds camera you can buy.
I’m fairly proud of how this review turned out. If you’re interested, check out the review over at Tools & Toys.
