Based on previous rumours, we should expect the 7-14mm to cost somewhere in the range of the 40-150mm Pro zoom. Without question, the latest Olympus Pro zoom will be worth every penny. I’m looking forward to the early reviews to find out if this is a lens I need to add to my collection.

Even more important is the upcoming announcement of the Olympus 8mm f/1.8 Fisheye lens. While I have no use for a fisheye, I’m intrigued with the idea of Pro primes. The Olympus 75mm f/1.8 is an amazing lens, but I think it can be taken a step further by acquiring proper weather sealing, a manual focus clutch mechanism, and an extra function button for OM-D bodies.

If Olympus decides to truly pursue this Pro lens collection, my pocketbook is going to run dry. The Pro zooms are fantastically top-notch and I can only imagine how great a bunch of Pro primes would be in my camera bag.
