I took a little longer than normal, but my review of the new iPhone 7 Plus hit Tools & Toys yesterday.

This one clocked in around 5,000 words, which is probably too long for most. I guess I had a lot more to say than I originally thought.

Long story short, I’m thankful for a slowly-evolving iPhone. Drastic changes are starting to feel almost stressful — I know how my iPhone has always worked, and I don’t want that to change one iota. I have enough other things to think about during the day, so the last thing I need is an iPhone that cuts ties with its perfectly-operable past.

This is my third iPhone review for Tools & Toys in the last three years. Each year, the review is photographed amidst the yellows and reds of autumn outside. I think the autumn colours complement the ultra-minimal silver iPhone 7 Plus quite well.

If you listen to Candid at all, you may have heard me go on and on about buying a GoPro shortly before our trip to Europe in June. Of all the photography tools we brought with, the GoPro footage easily houses our most treasured memories. I don’t regret spending the money on the GoPro in the slightest, even if I haven’t touched it since our trip.

This video is a collection of those memories. I’m not videographer, so don’t expect much. And I found myself creating this for Jaclyn more than anyone else, so it may even be a bit sappy for some viewers.

Either way, I figured it was worth sharing.
