⤷ Does the 128GB iPhone 14 Pro Have Enough Storage? ●

Great question from Lee Peterson. I largely fall in the same camp as Lee — there are few situations where I need more than 128GB of storage. Photos are in iCloud or Lightroom. Videos in iCloud. Every other file imaginable in a cloud storage service of some sort. To each their own, but I’m certainly in the “on demand” category.

⤷ It’s OK to Enjoy Your Phone ●

In the moment, I’m finding this post kind of inspiring. This Fresh Link, along with a few others, come to you from iPhone only.

⤷ The Brydge ProDock Thunderbolt 4 Dock for M1 Pro MacBook Pros ●

This is the dock we’ve been waiting for; a dock capable of harnessing the power of Thunderbolt 4 and providing an exquisite set of docks in an impressively designed package. It has the price to go with it, but I suspect the price may not matter to those looking to truly — I mean truly — turn their MacBook Pro into a docked workstation.

⤷ Muted Retro Keycaps ●

In some rad world, my gnarly Keychron Q5 keyboard will sport these incredible keycaps and Boba U4 Silent Tactile switches. I’d say I want a Moonlander more, but finding ortholinear switches for the Moonlander seems to be a pain in the butt.

⤷ Light and Magic ●

We’ve long known Star Wars took special effects to new heights. But the actual mechanics of it? Actually seeing the problems solved each time a new problem arose? This new series from Disney+ is absolutely awesome. I love Dykstra’s comment about the Star Destroyer being entirely in focus for the opening shot from A New Hope.

⤷ Jacob Jolibois on the Arc Browser ●

“That's where I think The Browser Company is going with their new Arc browser. It's more of an OS Layer, becoming such a familiar and integral part of the user's workflow that it feels like an extension of the operating system itself and less like another app you have to run.”

⤷ On Sending Your Kids to Daycare ●

Perhaps this is a spoiled point of view and the result of living in a small town community, but daycare has been one of the best things to happen to our little girls in their early childhood years. Daycare has provided them a huge network of friends, vastly improved social skills, and new motor skills we couldn’t have taught them ourselves.

⤷ Gruber’s Review of the M2 MacBook Air ●

“The machine itself is physically durable and visually attractive. It has at least two high-speed modern I/O ports and a MagSafe port for charging. It doesn’t bother with legacy I/O ports, except, perhaps, a headphone jack, because that’s the only legacy port most people really will use.” I wonder if Gruber considers USB-A a “legacy I/O port”?
