I thought it was easy to burn money on stylish Herman Miller furniture. And to think you might need to buy multiple items for multiple children. (Or you don’t. But it’s fun to dream.)

While in the middle of writing this afternoon, the little lights flashed off for good on my favourite Microsoft Surface Ergonomic keyboard. I’m bummed. It was a refurbished unit and had a few different problems, so I’m not surprised it has died. I’ve used the keyboard for four-plus years now — not a very long life. I enjoyed my time with it, to be sure.

Here’s a good tongue-in-cheek comment from a good friend. But seriously — perhaps it’s wiser to just post this sort of a stuff on a blog from now on. Another local Manitoban has been doing the same and I think it’s wonderful.

The way this lady zips around her iPad is almost inspiring. Look how quick she goes! She also miraculously makes Stage Manager look like a feasible option for iPad multi-tasking.

I’ll probably write more about this at some point, but my thought coming away from Chris's (and Matt’s) article here is “Mac does Mac things. iPad does iPad things. iPhone does iPhone things. Stop forcing them to overlap.”

Any time someone points at any of the most revered Apple tech writers and says they drink the Kool-aid, make sure to point them at this article. Stage Manager is half-baked at best and a disaster at worst, and Mr. Viticci says as much. “My recommendation is to not use it for production work or other critical tasks on your iPad.” Strong words.

Great question from Lee Peterson. I largely fall in the same camp as Lee — there are few situations where I need more than 128GB of storage. Photos are in iCloud or Lightroom. Videos in iCloud. Every other file imaginable in a cloud storage service of some sort. To each their own, but I’m certainly in the “on demand” category.
