⤷ Canon’s Potential Lens Roadmap for 2021 ●

If this roadmap is indeed close to actual plans, it’s going to be an expensive 2021 for me. The 70-200mm f/2.8 is at the top of my list, but you will quickly find a 24mm f/1.8, 35mm f/1.2, and 135mm f/1.4 following thereafter. This potential roadmap looks enticing.

⤷ The Monetization Of Digital Assets Within Sports ●

This Huddle Up newsletter is just fantastic. I think it’s fascinating to see what hundreds of sports executives think are the industry’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. eSports for the win!

⤷ Instagram's Birthday and a Huge App Update ●

Don’t let the headline fool you, though this is huge nonetheless: You can now change the Instagram app icon back to the very best 2011 icon ever. Go to Settings and drag the window down from the top. I hope this is a permanent new feature.

⤷ Why (and How) I Plan to Die With an Empty Bank Account ●

I’ll likely have more about this in the next issue of the Toonie Newsletter on Friday, but this kind of article sickens me. Consume, consume, consume. There’s something about the “I’m all that counts” attitude in this article that I can’t stand behind.

⤷ Side Projects ●

And until you have kids.

⤷ One Month With the Canon EOS R6 ●

I think, if I were to buy one of the new EOS R5 or R6, it would likely be the R6. That said, I really like the top LCD screen. Why do these things have to be so expensive?

⤷ Roam’s Road Ahead ●

I love this quote: “ The reason people love Roam is because it increases the expected value of their notes…. It’s more like growing your own personal wikipedia over time.”

Exactly.

⤷ A Meta-Layer for Notes ●

I really like these note-taking/sticky-making ideas. I’d use stickies like this all the time. Also, how cool is Julian’s site design? I love the highlighter link backgrounds.

⤷ A Closer Look at the New Apple Watches ●

This first look at the latest Apple Watches by TechCrunch is one of the closest initial looks at the new Blue Aluminum Series 6 Apple Watch. That blue is way more understated than I expected. Very sleek. I still want Graphite Stainless Steel though.

⤷ 1Password Launches Virtual Credit Card Generator for Safer Online Payments ●

This is a brilliant idea. My only issue is that, the more 1Password builds out its feature-set, the more I need 1Password for literally everything I do online. Though this is probably for the better, it is quite the impediment to just jump into something and be off running.
