Yeti is the egregiously-overpriced-yet-I-love-them-anyway brand of the decade, and their ubiquity proves it — you can get a $500+ cooler in just about any colour under the sky. But this latest limited edition King Crab Orange is easily the best Yeti colour yet. Of course, they’re sold out in Canada, but my American friends can still get their hands on just about all models at this point.
I’m not sure if I’ll ever be able to afford an Artifox setup. But I’ll be — these might be my favourite desk setups on the planet right now.
Bit of an old follow up at this point, but this photo comparison has to be pointed out. If my wife and I can pull off a before and after like this, then we’ve lived a strong marriage.
Interesting perspectives from experts in the business. I can understand the idea of giving money, no strings attached, to gain an understanding of how you’re children will handle a cash windfall after you die. You can advise, you can help, you can direct as you see fit or if requested. But then, what happens if your children don’t handle it as well as you’d like? Will resentment start to set in? I’m glad I have decades to figure out this issue — I don’t think it’s too cut and dried.
I imagine there are more than a few RAM and boosted storage purchases due to “just in case” justifications. I’m guilty of them myself. I have, however, found myself increasing able to shy away from extra storage on my devices — nearly everything lives in the cloud at this point, with local storage being required simply to download photos or documents on demand. I’m likely on my own on this one, but I really like being able to save some extra cash by avoiding the extra storage.
It’s super fun to read about how certain companies in certain industries find ways to adapt their work life, be it to be more conducive to productivity, or for mental health, or for physical health. But it’s always one specific industry with one specific service or product. It might be time for accounting and legal offices to do some adaptation. I want to be part of this conversation.
After all these years, I can’t believe Stickies is still available on the Mac. I remember coming across an article in the past about “persistent”, system-wide stickies where you could put a “note” on, say, a PDF document on your iPad, and that “note” would stick with the PDF, whether you opened it on your iPhone or on the Mac. This is how I use real stickies and I wish Stickies could do that sticky sort of thing.
Philip wouldn’t have the reputation he had without a few gaffes. These are particularly egregious — and particularly funny. My favourite:

Honourable obituary for an honourable man. Seventy-three years of marriage and ever the man of duty. Incredible.
