⤷ Changing Decisions ●

In some circles, strength is defined as finding your lane, entrenching yourself, and sticking it out no matter what’s thrown at you. I think, in reality, strength is actually patience combined with the ability to assess something with a range of variables and to take your position based on the evidence at hand. And! To change your position if new evidence arises. Therefore, the people I enjoy learning from are those who don’t seem to take a specific lane all the time.

⤷ Peloton: How the Bike Company Has Become a Global Content Brand ●

This one from The Hollywood Reporter is fantastic. Peloton is far more than a bike. It’s a fashion. It’s a media. It’s a lifestyle. You can’t grasp this until you have a Bike in your house and you’ve ridden for a few weeks.

Moraine Lake is one of the most beautiful places in the world. Take my word for it. These wallpapers are Moraine Lake, but with the latest Apple wallpaper twist.

⤷ Tesla Software Problems in Winter ●

It’s hard to find this depth of perspective from someone who lives in Winnipeg-like temperatures. And it’s especially great to have preconceived notions of winter failure be addressed head on. Looks like a Tesla is a reasonably viable option for our harsh Manitoba winters.

⤷ Multitasking vs. Parallelism ●

Adept commentary here from Matt Birchler. I don’t know if him and I were thinking along the same lines when I recently wrote this piece, or if perhaps great minds think alike, but the timing is impeccable. Matt was better able to put into words what I couldn’t. When iPadOS 15 hits, all I want to do is export photos from Lightroom in the background while I continue writing in Ulysses.

⤷ My Secret Sauce of Blogging ●

At first, I was like “Yes! He’s speaking to me!” And then I was like “Ummm, yeah I guess?” And then I was like “Ahhhh, I get what he’s doing here. Ouch.”

⤷ Bitcoin Is Civilization ●

Two quick things. First, Bari Weiss’s blog is on fire these days. The best thing to ever happen was her leaving the New York Times. Second, crypto is likely for real. But it has some growing up to do. So few people can actually explain how it works, I wouldn’t blame you for thinking it was a figment of your imagination. If you want the layperson to use crypto, you have to be able to explain how it works.
