This past June, I joined a group of seasoned fishermen from our church for a long weekend at Shoal Lake, Manitoba. It was my first trip with any group from our church (we’re fairly new still) and it was the first time I’d been fishing since I was maybe six years old.

So to sum it up, I was more photographer than fisherman that weekend.

But it was an amazing opportunity to get away from cell coverage, to get away from the craziness of everyday life, and even to get away from electrical power in some spots.

I imagine one of the most pressure-packed jobs on the planet (not really, but go with it) is to shoot a wedding. Worse still would be having to shoot a wedding where the bride and groom (and their wedding parties!) are photographers themselves.

Such was the case for Adam and Rianna of Wolf Photography back in August at my friend Marius’s wedding. Due to the caliber of their work and professionalism, everything appeared to go off without a hitch.

You can always bet that a photographer couple will choose the best photography crew they can find for their wedding, and I imagine this is the ultimate compliment you can pay Adam and Rianna. Update: I just got a chance to look at Marius’s wedding photos and they are absolutely stunning. I’ll surely allow Marius and his darling wife to show them off first — once they do, you’ll have to pick your jaw off the floor.
