Chalk this up as a “duh”, though I had no idea so many other countries already implemented this idea. In Canada, the base tax unit is the individual. This divides households and penalizes families. Which makes sense, of course — the government needs every dollar it can get.

First, I love Justin O’Beirne’s ultra-simple website design. This is clearly someone who sweats the details, specifically when it comes to maps. Second, Apple may have overcome Google when it comes to map quality. Three-dimensional maps have made their way to our small rural area and it’s super accurate. And Apple’s “Street View” (known as “Look Around”, I suppose) is easy to use and unbelievably smooth. This Maps expansion has exceeded all expectations.
