Over on Tools & Toys this week, I wrote a review of one of the most popular (in my circles, at least) camera wrist straps on the market.
At a mere $18, Gordy’s Wrist Straps offer an incredible value and look incredibly stylish to boot.
As always, I enjoy giving some side information of each review here. This time around, I have to commend both Shawn and Josiah for their incredible photographs. A few weeks back, Josiah shot a few of the images in this review — I love a few of the gigantic portrait images which stretch a ways down the page.
But further, I was also blown away by Shawn’s photos. He shot his photos with the Panasonic Leica Summilux 25mm f/1.4 and the gorgeous depth of field in his photographs immediately captured my attention. The lens isn’t as sharp as Olympus’ PRO zooms, but I’ve recently learnt that sharpness isn’t everything. In fact, the softer, dreamier photo is something I’ve increasingly wanted over the last few months.
Obviously, to replicate Shawn’s photo look, I immediately headed to eBay to find a good deal on a 25mm Summilux lens. And I found one. Hopefully the lens will be here in about two weeks. I’m very excited to add another renowned lens to my collection.
If you want to check out both Shawn’s and Josiah’s sweet, dreamy images, head here to check out the review.
